A Strathearn Historical Park Wedding- Jordan and Bryce

Posted By Holly Castillo Photography on Thursday 11th November 2021

Growing up in Simi Valley, I can't count how many times I had a field trip or other reason to visit Strathearn Historical Park. Simi Valley and most of Ventura County was originally all ranches and very small towns, so the historical park pays tribute to that in having original houses and buildings from the 1800s and 1900s. Many buildings have ended up moved to the property to be preserved, such as the St. Rose of Lima church building, where Jordan (the bride) waited before the ceremony. The barn and reception area feature a lot of old farming equipment and historical photos. It's definitely a neat property to have a wedding at!

Jordan and Bryce got ready off-site at a hotel, and then had their ceremony and reception at Strathearn Historical Park. Details included lawn games, the incredible stained glass windows of the church, and a memory wall with photos of loved ones who had passed on.
