A Day in the Life- Home Documentary Photography
As a few of my upcoming weddings have been postponed due to the current coronavirus pandemic, I've started turning my creative drive to new passions and projects. I take about 500 pictures of my son a day, but I usually just use my phone instead of pulling out my work camera. However, now with being stuck inside due to quarantine in California, I'm trying to rewire myself to carry about my beast instead of just going for the phone. It's so easy to get into the mindset of "My camera is for work/ weddings" and forget that I am an artist in any circumstances, not just for clients.
So this past Sunday I set out to document the whole day with my family, the small moments that are often overlooked. And nothing was staged. Any toy, mess, or whatever was kept where it was. I'm really happy with how this turned out, and having a day with our family documented is something I will treasure always.
